1. Are your products approved by a costuming group? (Such as the 501st, Mandalorian Mercs, Rebel Legion, Bounty Hunters Guild, Etc.)

While Clever3DStudio's products are of high quality and many of our clients have received group approvals, generally, no products are pre-approved by any group, this is true for all makers. Final approval is based on the finished, worn items. Customers seeking group approval are advised to contact the appropriate group representative for advice before placing an order.

2. What types of products does Clever3DStudio offer for Star Wars costuming? Clever3DStudio specializes in providing high-quality 3D printed parts for Star Wars costuming, including armor pieces, accessories, and detailed parts to enhance Star Wars costumes.

3. Do you have other items that are not advertised? Yes! Clever3DStudio has an extensive catalog of thousands of items not listed on the website. Customers are encouraged to ask, as the studio likely has it and is happy to assist in finding the perfect addition to the costume.

4. Do you print customer-provided files? Absolutely! Clever3DStudio can serve as a print service for customer projects. Contact the studio to discuss projects further, and cost quotes for printing services can be provided. Ensure there are no explicit restrictions in the license agreement preventing third-party print services (Great Minds v. FedEx Office & Print Services, Inc.).

5. Do you provide visors for the inside of the helmets? Clever3DStudio does not provide visors. Customers have had success using safety shield/face shield lenses, cutting them to their needs, and adding window tint for a custom look.

6. Do you do any surface preparation or painting? No, Clever3DStudio does not provide surface prep or painting work at the moment due to time constraints.  

7. What type of printing do you offer? Clever3DStudio offers both FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) and SLA (Stereolithography) printing technologies, providing flexibility for various project requirements and preferences.

8. Do you make minis (Aka miniatures)? Yes! In high detail resin (SLA), Clever3DStudio has the capability to create miniature and desktop items.

9. What exactly is FDM and SLA printing, and what does that mean for options for me?

• FDM: Involves layering thermoplastic material to create the final object. Versatile and cost-effective.
• SLA: Uses liquid resin cured by UV light for highly detailed and precise prints. Ideal for intricate designs and miniatures.

10. What materials are used for 3D printed parts? Clever3DStudio primarily uses PLA (Polylactic Acid), a biodegradable and environmentally-friendly thermoplastic. PLA is chosen for ease of use, durability, and affordability.

11. How can I smooth and prime 3D printed parts for costuming? To achieve a smoother finish, sand the printed parts with fine-grit sandpaper. After sanding, applying primer can enhance the surface quality. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for any sanding or priming products used.  We do offer a few tutorials on some various techniques!  Please refer to our tutorials section for some suggestions!

12. Can I request customizations for my 3D printed parts? Absolutely! Contact Clever3DStudio with specific requirements, and they will do their best to accommodate customization requests.

13. How should I measure myself for wearable 3D printed parts?

• Chest: Measure the circumference at the widest part of your chest, typically just under the armpits.
• Back: Measure the width across your back from shoulder blade to shoulder blade.
• Shoulders: Measure the width across your shoulders from the outer edge of one shoulder to the other.

14. When will my item ship? Clever3DStudio's standard processing time is [X] business days. This does not include shipping time. Customers will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once the order is on its way.
